Billing model
Paid plans are backed by Stripe Checkout and Stripe Customer Portal. Subscription updates flow through verified Stripe webhooks before limits change in the database.
Plan enforcement
Tenant count, client app count, API key count, token verification volume, and AI onboarding usage are enforced server-side.

Can I start without Stripe?
Yes. The Free plan supports one tenant, one client app, one API key, and enough volume to test the full integration.
Do external apps use ZDX Auth cookies?
No. External apps exchange the callback code server-side, create their own local session, and verify access tokens through protected routes.
What changes on paid plans?
The core auth flow stays the same. Paid plans increase limits and support larger production footprints.
Need custom volume or procurement support?
